4D Master
Cyborgic Rex
Sweet!
During Toy Kingdom Podium’s 3-day sale last weekend, I got several new toys at 20% off.
Ok, 19% (standard 10% off on all white tags + 10% off on the resulting 90% of the list price for any Toy Kingdom card holders who buy in the first 2 hours of the sale = 19%). Yeah it gave me a headache the first time someone explained it to me, too. Anyway, among those toys I got was this little baby, Cyborgic Rex!
This comes from the guys who brought you the awesomeness that was Zombie Kong, Fame Master of Hong Kong. They’re the same guys who make all the “4D” puzzles you see on Toy Kingdom and Toy’s R’ Us shelves. While I’m not big on scale replica’s of see-through frogs, I do like their plastic figures based on fantasy and military images. This particular toy comes from their Mons Wars line.
The packaging is just a plain box with a small window where you can see 3 of the pieces that make up the “totally 15 parts in this dragon 4D puzzle!”. The rest of the parts, including a runner with the “double ball-joint design to joining the parts!” is included in a bag that is hidden in the back of a gray plastic tray.
At least it’s not a blind box.
Once you get every thing out, it’s time to assemble the thing. Be careful, because there are lots of tiny pieces (the jaw, the tongue, the little joiner bars). If you’re not careful inserting the barbell shaped links between the pieces, they’re liable to slip out or pop away. Good luck finding them then.
