It’s the Juggernaut, bitch!

That’s right. It’s the Juggernaut, bitch.

Cain Marko, step-brother of Professor Charles Xavier, weilder of the power of the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. Yadda yadda yadda. I won’t go into it anymore since, hey, he’s the Juggernaut, bitch. If you feel like it, read more about him here. Bitch.

Ok, Ok. I’ll stop now.

It’s been what, 6 months? since we saw Gentle Giant’s 3D models for Diamond Select’s Marvel Select Juggernaut. I was wowed by the figure then and I’m still completely taken with it now. I think Gentle Giant is getting up there with the Four Horsemen one of the names I take notice of on toy news sites. They’ve had a hand in bringing a lot of movie licenses into the collector home with statues of characters from popular films like like Hellboy, Harry Potter, Pan’s Labyrinth, Star Wars, and recently, Sucker Punch. This is their first Marvel Select figure.

It’s a great looking piece of work.

The box is the same as all the other Marvel select figures that came before it, including Abomination, Thor, and the Red and Green Hulks. Bookend styled cards with artwork on the left face of the box and a huge clear window to view the figure inside.

If you’re careful, you can even open the bubble on three sides so that you can still replace the figure in the package after you’ve goofed with it a bit. It’s an elegant solution that should please both Mint on Card (MOC) and loose toy collectors alike.

Now if only they’d use something easier to remove than the adamantium-like heavy gauge twist-ties that holds him in place. These things are indestructable!

Eventually, I did get him out of the box. What a monster!

The articulation is pretty sparse and it is very limited compared to his 6” Marvel Legends and 4” Marvel Universe brothers, but you can’t deny that this is the most definitive Juggernaut so far.
