Movie Preview: Sucker Punch
If I was asked to pick just one movie to see this year, I’d have to say it was Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch. If you have haven’t heard of this film, well then you really should stop what you’re doing, log on to YouTube and watch the shit out of the scrumptulescent trailer:

That should really tell you all you need to know about the film. If not, you really should get yourself checked. Did you not see the boobies, the miniskirts, the pigtails? What about the swords? The motherfuckin’ samurai robot with a god damn Gatling gun?

Still can’t fathom why you should see this movie over say Thor or Captain America? It’s by Zack Snyder, the dude who brought us 300 and Watchmen. It’s his first film that isn’t based on something from another medium. It’s all about a girl, lobotomized and left in an asylum, dreaming about extraordinary things as a way to escape her situation. It’s like Alice in Wonderland, only with samurai school girls. Rawr.
So yeah, where was I?
The film will open in the Philippines in March of 2011. 2 more months until we can see more of this wicked looking film than that paltry one and a half minutes above. I feel my all geek parts standing at attention…
